Neukin Radiator now Features OEM fan Connectors!

Its been a long time coming but now your Neukin Civic Radiator and Fan comes ready to install! This is one for the first in the automotive performance industry. The fans being used come from Slimfan.com a leader in Slim Fans for automotive. The fans are processed there and can include almost any oem fan connector. The Neukin radiator and fan setup will feature the older plug for EF Civic/CRX or DA Integra… the other is the newer fan plug for basically 92+ Honda/Acura. So if you after just a Slim Line Fan check those guys out. There is also huge news to come on one of the final improvements to the already great setup Neukin provides. New Neukin Civic Radiator Improvement

So ya the Neukin Civic Radiator and Fan was good before but after some thought they made it better. The old design used a aluminum stud and nut with some red loctite for those no worry moments. The New design from Neukin features a cool and yet simple aluminum stud and pin. The four mount points on the radiator bracket that hold the fan are all using this new design. This allows tooless removal and no loctite. Given you wont have to remove your fan often its just another cool feature of the never ending “make things better” mind set the guys at Neukin have.
Neukin Radiator Slim Fan Connectors

It has been a few months since Neukin started doing this but thought it was worth a mention. Most slim fans come with a low quality set of terminals or electrical connectors. Then to boot these cheap connectors often have a loose silicone looking insulator keeping the electrical connection “safe”. The Neukin Radiator and slim fan features a slim fan that has been upgraded to higher standard connectors. The hard plastic insulator keeps the connections safe and worry free. They also included another male and female bullet connector so you can easily crimp to your wires and get going. The other slim fans out there usually dont do this, why i dont know… they must figure you have these wire connectors laying around your garage waiting for your new radiator and slim fan install. Nice to see Neukin attempting to make their product more complete.
New Mishimoto Radiator Cap

Mishimoto has introduced a carbon fiber radiator cap. This is purely cosmetic and adds to the appearance of your engine bay and or radiator. The radiator cap looks to be made of real carbon fiber from the picture they put up on their site. The radiator cap would have to be purchased separately leaving you with a stock Mishimoto cap with nothing to do. I also just noticed the Mishimoto Radiator Cap looks like a old honda motorcycle design. Think its just like the radiator caps on the 82-83 VF750C V45 MAGNA, 83-84 VF750F V45 INTERCEPTOR or 82-83 VF750S SABRE.. could have been the stock design on other Honda Motorcycles. Im pretty sure its Honda radiator cap part number HONDA PART # 19045-MB0-003 from Denso. Anyways not to get off subject, another nice option from Mishimoto, part number MMRC-CF13S MSRP $40. The radiator cap is 19psi rather then the stockish 16psi cap. This will increase pressure in your radiator system thus lowing the boiling point of the radiator fluid. They didnt mention that in their product description.. not sure if they knew that.
Neukin Radiator and Slim Fan

The Neukin Radiator and Slim Fan combo has a few recently added features that make it stand out ahead of the rest. We asked a few questions about the product and learned after two years with no questions asked about their product they introduced a lifetime warranty. The warranty was for the original owner on the aluminum radiator only, the fan is not covered due to the electrical variables that could cause premature failure. We are guessing like stuck fan switches or say something prevents the fan from spinning with electricity applied will burn the fan up or blow a fuse we hope. They also started placing the Neukin “N” on the front of the radiator with industrial paint or what not. This helps show off the quality you have under the hood. Most companies do this automatically to help show off their company name and logo. The Neukin N is less identifying and probably wont be known by many. Its more of a style or artistic look on the radiator then the company trying to push their product. The owners of Neukin products know what they own and thats what matters.

Mishimoto Radiator Magnetic Drain

Mishimoto has released a magnetic drain plug that will be included with all new radiator applications. Dont know if that means only new applications that are released or all their applications including older released units. We noticed the Honda Civic application for 92-00 has the magnetic drain plug so they must mean all applications. Metal particles could be floating in your cooling system but with this drain plug installed you could catch them. I dont know about you but with a Aluminum radiator, aluminum block and aluminum head there is little chance a steel particle present in the cooling system. We all know aluminum doesnt stick to magnets. The water pump propeller is usually stamped steel on the honda civic but have never been known to fall apart. Its a great attempt to offer a better product but more of a sales pitch then something that offers benefits. We do wonder if Mishimoto has ran into a few units where a metal particle has damaged the radiator. This might have been on other motors with more metal construction like Ford. This would be the only reason we logically see the Magnetic Drain Plug introduced.
